One of the most talked-about features is the cafe's extensive menu that skillfully marries traditional breakfast fare with touches of Mexican cuisine. Revel in the rich flavors of the A Taste Of Mexico offerings, such as the Carnitas Skillet—a hearty dish packed with pulled pork, mushrooms, bell peppers, and onions, topped with eggs and served alongside crispy country potatoes. I am always interested in trying new brunch spot so when I saw this place on Instagram I was ready to go! The location was easy to find with plenty of parking. I will have to say the sign was not too standout with the black letters. We got there around 10:30 and the place was pretty full. There was no line yet and I was offered a small table for me and my friend. Knowing I will likely order enough food the table would not be big enough we opted to wait for a bigger one. The turn over was fast so the wait was not long and we were seated quickly . We didn't ordered the famed Ube latte as we are not big fans of Ube although I do love the color purple. We got matcha latte instead. The matcha latte tasted decent but too sweet for me. It seems that we can not request adjustments to the sweetness. The kind server offered to put more milk to offset the sweetness but I declined as I don't want to dilute the matcha. Of course we have to get one of the breakfast boards. We got the Breeze Breakfast Board because I wanted the collection of French toast, waffles and pancakes. The carbs tasted wonderful and the fruits fresh. The proteins were charred enough and I wish we had more than one piece of ham... To make sure we get enough protein so we also got the Meat Lovers Omelette with hash. Yes it was carbs and protein heaven. The omelette was huge and packed with yummy carnivore delights. One downside was there was a gap between the food served. The lattes and omelette were served quickly. We were hoping to get a picture of everything together so we waited for the board. By the time it arrived the lattes were lukewarm and omelette was a bit cold. Overall it was a good experience. The staff was friendly and attentive. If I live closer I would come back more often to try other items, but if you are in the area you should try. And the breakfast boards are definitely Instagram worthy!
Got the French toast platter today and the waiter graciously let us add some condensed milk and strawberries to have the plain French toast to be the tres leches flavor instead. Everything about the French toast part of the platter was excellent! I liked the banana one the best with the whiskey based syrup! The sausage ham and bacon did leave stuff to be desired though. Would've preferred another French toast instead of the meat for sure!
This is a family-owned restaurant that opened two years ago. We tried their classic French toast with powdered sugar and whipped cream. You get four small slices. The taste was average. Price was $10. We also tried their Californian omelette. It's filled with mushrooms, green onions, tomatoes, jack & cheddar cheese, and topped with sour cream and avocado. It came with crispy hashbrowns and your choice of toast. The omelette was good, especially with Tabasco sauce. The hashbrowns were good too. I wish the portion for both was bigger. Price was $16. We also had blue berry pancakes with powdered sugar and whipped cream. I found it unusual that the pancakes tasted a little salty. I also wish the portion was bigger. Price is $12. The coffee was good. Price was $3.75, with free refills. We also tried their iced ube latte. We had almond milk with it instead of regular milk. They charge additional 70 cents for the almond milk. The iced ube latte was good. You can really taste the ube. Price was $5.50. The total price plus tax was around $53. The service was slow, but the one and only server was nice. She was friendly; no bad attitude. The place, including the bathroom, was clean. It looked modern. Parking is good. I would like to go back and try their "a taste of Mexico" items such as breakfast quesadilla, chorizo scramble, Mexicano omelette, etc. For this visit, I give this restaurant 3.8 stars.
I really like how they prepare waffles. They aren't as warm, but the design is top notched. The place hasn't really changed when I came back, but it's still modernized and chill to dine. They did have a special menu when I visited, but you can still look at the rest of the menu by scanning QR code. I criticized the food for being oily, but could imagine that sweets aren't as bad. I think I should stick to eating stuff like pancakes and waffles here rather than omelettes. Probably should come back here for lunch the next time I visit.
I would recommend to bring a big group or people with big appetites. The place is very pretty and definitely IG worthy. Menu is massive, but do not get overwhelmed. You can always come back and try a different dish. Drink selection is nice too. I love ordering the ube latte. Most of the dishes is good for 2 people unless you order the charcuterie breakfast special then you will need friends for that. Service is always amazing and fast. Make sure to come with the whole group to help seated on time. They do have busy times, so you might have to wait. Definitely one of the good brunch places in the area.
This is my second time to this cafe. Both times the food was solid. I'm a fan of egg dishes and having many options that sound good is always a plus in my book. I got the Veggie Benedict today. I don't always order benedicts but took a chance on it today. The English muffin was nice and fluffy but toasted so I quite enjoyed it along with its toppings. Will come again!
Stopped here for brunch one day and had to wait 30-40 minutes for a table. There's a good amount of tables inside. Our waiter was really friendly and took our order quickly. I got the breakfast sandwich with hashbrown. The sandwich was good, but I think lacked a little flavor. There wasn't sauce or anything, but it had a good amount of eggs and bacon. The hashbrowns were crispy, but also pretty plain. I wish they had put more salt or seasoning. I'd still come back because I want to try their ube latte.
Came for breakfast at 9:30am and it was packed! Cute seating and kinda service. Friends ordered different omelettes and breakfast items and they looked hefty and delicious. I opted for the French toast. Also quite pretty and presentable when coming out. It was a sweet treat for breakfast that still had leftovers. If you come just be mindful of the wait time, for food and seating. It's understandable since it's packed, however when coming to eat everyone had their food brought to the table and mine came out 10-15 min after.
